In China, there is an island called Hainan Island. Hainan is the permanent site of the Bo’ao Asian Forum, the location of the Miss World Beauty Contest for the past four years, the site of holiday resort for many western nationals, and the home of international golf clubs from countries around the world. Hainan is a safe, healthy and happy island. People from all over the world enjoy Hainan, which is drawing an increasing number of people to come study Chinese here.
Hainan Foreign Languages College is a state-run university untold numbers of professionals. We have three locations offering Program for Adult Learning (PAL). In order to meet the needs of foreign adults studying Chinese at this university, PAL provides courses in Travel Chinese, Golf Chinese, Taiji Chinese and HSK (Chinese level tests) Chinese. These courses received warmly welcome from the adults of many foreign countries.
PAL aims at providing the best Chinese language education for foreign adults while they travel in the beautiful surroundings of Hainan, and establishing a more harmonious world through international cultural exchange.

Curriculum
1, Chinese Language Course
Focus on improving the speaking and listening ability while reading and writing Chinese characters are introduced in the progress of the learning. Chinese calligraphy will be taught in second week. Textbooks include “Chinese 301”, “New Practical Chinese” and “Guide for HSK” compiled by Beijing Language and Culture University.
2, Taiji Course
Yang-style Taiji with 24 steps will be taught. Students can also chose other anti-aging courses such as Healthy Dancing and Taiji Sword aiming at strengthening your health. The certified Chinese couches will guide you in the whole learning process. Students could master the Taiji in less than one month.
3, Culture-exchange course
Students will have ample opportunities to participate different activities in order to exchange culture with students in elementary, high school and in colleges. The activities include learning language, music, painting, history and local customs experience.
Social Activities
Students will visit the local cities, countryside to communicate with local villages, farmers and people from different professions. Enjoy local Chinese food and movies, participate in the local Karaoke and the so-called English-Corner where many local college students practice their English every evenings.
Sight Seeing
Adult students will be able to travel around the Hainan island to enjoy the tropic weather and the beautiful beach around the island. The students will receive reduced price for golf and other fee-charge program when they travel.
