Foreign Student Programs
| 1. Long-term classes: Every year classes begin on March 1st and September 1st for foreign students who have signed up for at least ? a year of systematic listening, speaking, reading and writing courses. The teachers encourage students to take part in the national Chinese Proficiency Examination (HSK), to allow the students (through proper placement) to gradually attain beginning, intermediate and advanced levels of Chinese. 2. Short-term classes: These classes are organized for groups of five or more foreign students who want to use their vacation time to study Chinese. The length of study can be one week, two weeks, three weeks; one month, two months or three months. Learning will be focused on listening and speaking and will give students ample opportunity to use what they learn. In addition, the school often organizes trips for the students to provide a natural and relaxed atmosphere for learning Chinese. 3. “Drop-in” students: Some individuals enroll mid-term for an indefinite period of time. Each student can choose the class most suitable for him, based on his own Chinese level, and join the class mid-term, allowing the individual to strengthen and improve his Chinese level. 4. One-on-one tutoring: The benefit of one-on-one instruction is that the student's learning needs can be directly dealt with, while integrating Chinese learning with real life social activities and focusing on the student's progress. The student will be tutored two or more periods every day and, in addition to this, is free to build relationships with Chinese people around him. All this will help the student to quickly gain the ability to use Chinese freely. 5. After enrollment, those students who can't be given an opportunity to attend regular classes or be “drop-in” students will have to opt for one-on-one tutoring. However, the school will still allow these students to take part in the cross-cultural exchange activities which are provided free of charge, in order to meet the needs of the students. |
