Hainan Foreign Language College is a state college run by the government with the approval of the National Education Bureau, and specializes in foreign language education. It is situated in the highly civilized city of Wenchang, which is known as the "Hometown of Our Nation's Mother," as well as the hometown of many overseas Chinese immigrants. It is an ideal place for students to study a foreign language. Our college has a 60-year history, with a current enrollment of 4000 students, located on our elegantly-designed campus. We have a highly-skilled staff of nearly 200 teachers. There are five departments which offer courses in 14 majors including English, Japanese, Chinese, Russian, Korean, Education, Computer Technology and Secretarial Skills. Our college also established the Hainan Education Branch of Beijing Foreign Language University in cooperation with Beijing Foreign Language University. Aiding students to achieve their full potential and equipping them for future employment has always been our purpose. Year after year, we have provided our nation with large numbers of talented individuals, and have contributed greatly to foreign language education and cross-cultural communication. |
