Qionghai Confucius School carries out one-to-one model in teaching Chinese language to foreigners. In a short period, students will receive intensive language training to overcome the listening, speaking, reading and writing difficulties and to learn more knowledge of communication in Chinese. Students here could enjoy DIY services including the entrance time, study period and the content, whatever they want to learn. Centering on the students, teachers and students both interact enormously in the process of teaching activities. Usually, more than two lessons are assigned for a day and five days a week. Besides classes, students could travel around Hainan Island to expand their horizons, increase their knowledge and enjoy life here.
In order to enable foreigners to speak Chinese in a short period, we offer all kinds of effective courses of Communicative Chinese. There are many teaching methods, such as learning pronunciation through pictures, students are guided to express simple ideas with the using of objects, situations and word order; therefore the knowledge line of words-sentences-context is achieved.
The Taiji masters of Qionghai Confucius School require their international students not only being similar in appearance, but also in spirit; not only learning Taiji in movement, but also understanding the spirit of it. In order to realize the magical effects of self-cultivation, Taiji masters make a new request for the students, that is, they should also learn Taiji in combination of Taiji Chinese, Chinese culture, the essence of Taiji. Only by doing so, students could become a real disciple of Taiji and physical fitness could be achieved. Qionghai Confucius School offers interpretation of Chinese culture, international popularization of Chinese language, training courses of foreign languages and non-governmental interactions between China and other counties. 1. Content of Study
(1) Study practical Chinese. Be able to complete a simple and daily conversation with Chinese people.
(2) Teach practical foreign language. Teach Chinese people daily language for conversation, and help in boosting Chinese people’s foreign language proficiency.
(3) Experience ordinary life of Chinese towns, villages or ethnic areas by working, living with the local people, thus developing "global village" consciousness.
(4) Inspect the well-protected ecological environment and historical culture in Hainan Island, by understanding Hainan, loving Hainan, appreciating Hainan to achieve the ideal of "One World, One Dream".
2. Schedule
(1) Every morning of weekday is the time for volunteers to learn and practice Chinese language; while in the afternoons, it is the time for volunteers to teach foreign languages and enjoy cultural exchange.
(2) Volunteers are due to experience life, study culture and travel in Hainan on weekends.
(3) After the tuition, foreign students could be arranged to participate in volunteer activities according to the their reasonable demands.
